COBAT / Taurox SB

The indications for the use of COBAT (carbobenzoxy-ß-alanyltaurine) are fatigue present for one month or more, weakened immune system, ‘brain fog’ and allergies. COBAT is effective in reducing fatigue associated with Hepatitis C (HCV) and cancer. COBAT modulates the immune system to decrease fatigue and allow more effective immune responses. In a small clinical trial, COBAT was found to be effective for reducing fatigue in approximately 90% of patients with chronic fatigue, hepatitis C or cancer.

Initial clinical trials of Taurox SB (containing COBAT) have shown that over 90% of patients with moderate to severe fatigue experienced a reduction in fatigue after taking it for 3-6weeks or longer. Preliminary data suggests it may also decrease the frequency of allergy symptoms. It may modulate cytokines in order to reduce fatigue and allergies. Conditions involving disruptions of the immune system and altered cytokine levels can result insignificant decreases in energy levels.

Integra TH by Allergy Research Group is another name for the same product. The suggested dose for Integra TH™ of 15 drops per day provides twice the amount of Taurox SB used in the clinical trial(which was 1 drop of 100% Taurox SB).This allows a great deal of room for adjustment when determining an optimal dose for an individual. Some people report a temporary worsening of symptoms when they start taking homeopathic remedies, and if this happens, they should consult their physician. Some people report more vivid dreams and a deepening of sleep along with reduced fatigue.

Another homeopathic preparation with usefullness in fatigue is called Taurox SB.
