Accupressure may help a hypersensitive gag reflex.
The pressure point used was located in the middle of the palm at the angle of intersection of the thumb and third digit, basically in the center of the palm. Approximately 2 pounds of pressure is applied to either palm. This caused the point of gag reflex to shift further back toward the pharynx, where it should be.
